Stadion Miejski (Łódź City Stadium), also known as Stadion LKS, is a multi-purpose stadium in Łódź, Poland. The ground has hosted football games since 1925. The stadium was built for LKS Football Club in 1975 and had a capacity of 12,160. The interim president has questioned the cost of the stadium. Initially only one stand with a capacity of 5,700 seats will be built.〔http://www.mirbud.com.pl/stadion-miejski-w-lodzi/0,-3r,3,121〕 Once completed on all four sides the stadium will have a capacity of over 20,000. There is no timeline yet for the further development as LKS do not require the extra seating as they are currently in the 4th tier of Polish football because of relegation caused by bankruptcy. The new site is adjacent to the original stadium.
